This is a Babe Ruth signed and inscribed "To My Pal Johnny From" and dated 3-26-1947 color 8x10 photo. This is the same photo that was used in the May publication of Sport Magazine in 1948 which was the Sports Illustrator of today's generation. Signed color photos of Babe Ruth are extremely hard to come by. In fact, I've yet to see another color photo signed by the Babe. The colors are great in this photo. There is staining around the edge of the photo from masking tape that was once there but doesn't distract from the photo itself. There are also a few blemishes in the form of small liaisons. The photo itself is laid on a thick cardboard and overall presents remarkably well. The signature and inscriptions remain quite strong.
