This piece is one of folklore and its amazing it has lasted with the story for all of these years. This is a Babe Ruth signed fielding glove which is incredibly scarce as is. Back then a kid wouldn't get their glove signed when given a chance because they would have to use the gloves for several years because they were expensive. You can understand that even if they were signed they were still trashed. This kid sold a total of 58,091 10 cent war stamps in order to have the chance to get Babe Ruth to sign his glove. We know it was that exact amount because he wrote all of that information on the ticket he used to get into the event. If that wasn't cool enough, he kept a picture of Babe Ruth signing this exact glove. In game used items to have something photo matched to on field use creates a price increase of around 3-4 times what an authenticated game used item goes for. I would say the same for the vintage autograph world. I can't think of another Babe Ruth item that has this amount of provenance.

As if it was needed it also comes with full letters from PSA and JSA.
